Accessibility and Amenities
We want all families and visitors to feel informed and supported when visiting our locations. Please review the accessibility information below and reach out with any questions before your visit.
The Children’s Museum Preschool & Administrative Offices (West Hartford)
The Children’s Museum Preschool and Administrative Offices, located in West Hartford, are not ADA accessible at this time. Access to the lobby, preschool classrooms, and offices requires navigating several stairs, and there is no elevator available.
This location does not have public water fountains. Bottled water is available for guests, and preschool water bottles are refilled regularly throughout the day.
We understand this may present challenges for some visitors and families. If you have questions or would like to discuss specific needs in advance, please contact us so we can do our best to assist.
Roaring Brook Nature Center (Canton)
Roaring Brook Nature Center is ADA accessible and wheelchair accessible. The building includes accessible entrances, restrooms, and water fountains.
Please note that while the Nature Center building is accessible, most outdoor trails are not recommended for wheelchair use due to natural terrain.
Amenities Available at Both Locations
Both locations offer:
- Restrooms, including family-friendly options
- Seating areas
- On-site parking
We are always working to improve accessibility across our programs and locations and welcome feedback on how we can better serve our community.
