Connecticut Land and Wildlife - A Historical Perspective

The first project to be funded by the Ray Smith Endowment portrays Connecticut's changing landscape in panels of pictures and commentary. Throughout time, changes have occurred on this land; animals and plants have been affected. Some changes have occurred naturally while others were caused by human activity. This exhibit presents a chronological picture to help us visualize the changes and better understand our landscape today. It is our hope that this understanding will provide the perspective to determine what kind of landscape we will choose tomorrow.

After six months at the Nature Center the exhibit went to the Farmington Museum and is currently at the Canton Town Hall in Collinsville, CT.
